We took a quick trip to Disneyland yesterday. Now that might sound a bit odd..."quick trip". So let me explain. The flight is 1 1/2 hours long. If disneyland is only 1 1/2 drive why not go? Oh and the most important part is, it doesnt cost to fly. It did rain part of the day, but we had fun. We didn't tell the girls that we were going anywhere. We just said the night before they had to have a clean room because we had a suprise for them tomorrow. We woke them up early for the 6 am flight saying "wake up we are going to Disneyland!" I didn't have to say it twice, Alexandra jumped out of bed! We spent the night across the street from Disneyland, while the girls and I slept, Scott was sick all night long. He said he has never been that sick before, he actually wanted to go to the hospital. By the next day he was feeling better and was able to fly home.

Alexandra started taking piano lessons this year. She practices 3 times a day. She is so excited.

We have had so much snow this winter. I don't think we have seen the grass in our yard since the begining of December. Alexandra loves to go outside with her Dad and help him shovel the driveway. However, snow angels are more fun the shoveling.

This was on the ferry to Alcatraz. Scott couldn't wait to visit the prison. We actually got to meet an inmate that served in Alcatraz. He was signing copies of his book in the gift shop there. We bought the book, Scott has read it cover to cover a couple of times. (He is fascinated with Alcatraz!)

New York

This weekend I took a girls trip to New York. We stayed at the Marriott Marquee in Time Square, saw Hairspray, shopped and ate at fantastic restaurants. Scott stayed home with Madison and Alexandra. Scott is such a great husband, this is my 3rd trip to the big apple without him.

This year has many hopes and dreams to come. Scott has started his own business last year. He owns his own line of fine mens clothing. He broke off from a very well known "celebrity" in our area. This decision couldn't have been better.

Alexandra will be baptized this year. She will be baptized in Florida, in the same church Scott was baptized in. Alexandra has sharpened her reading skills and can read just about every book. She is very kind and nurturing. She desperately wants another sibling.

Madison our firecracker in training. Loves to color, play with little people toys, dolls and make messes. The other day I noticed in the midst of cleaning up Christmas she was able to find a clean corner and make a mess. She attends a very exclusive preschool, it had a 4 year waiting list. At least that's what I tell others. Since I quit teaching school when she was born, I put all my "school stuff" to use and made a small preschool in our basement.

As for me being a Mom is a full time job. However no one wants to give up the flight benefits I get from my part time job with an airline. Which we use almost every month. We visited Grandma Margie in Florida 6 times in '07. We also visited Las Vegas, Georgia, So. California, Seattle Washington, and Scott and I got away for a few days by ourselves in San Francisco.
