Another Moment With Madison

Madison: Mom why is life so hard?
Me: I don't know. Why do you think its hard?
Madison: You have to listen to your mom and dad...... you can't do what you want, and you have to do hard homework.
(Madison is in Kindergarten, she is reading quite well and enjoys it, I don't know how that equals a hard life. She is soooo cute though!)

A Converstation with Maddie

Madison: Mom you don't look like my mom with glasses on. You look like a babysitter. Me: I do? Madison: Yep, sometimes I think I have 2 moms. One with glasses and one without. I think you look better without glasses.
(note to self......don't leave the house with my glasses on! and I don't think she meant my sunglasses.)

This week was all about Scott. We celebrated all week long. I surprised him with tickets to see Phantom at a local theater. It wasn't Andrew Loyd Weber's Phantom of the Opera.....in fact we both kept sitting there waiting for the music. It was good...it wasn't....Phantom of the Opera...though. That is his favorite play. We did see it last summer in Las Vegas...but really nothing compares to that theater.
Madison gave her Daddy the 2009 Sugar Bowl DVD. He literally took it out of the gift bag and put it right into the dvd player. Luckily yesterday we were at live game and watched the Utes play their spring red and white game. The icing on the cake this week however was seeing Brian Johnson and getting a better photo with him! He is tooo cute.

Hip Hip Hooray!

We are just a couple days away from someones birthday. Let me tell you about this guy. He loves to wrestle..... not like pinning and half nelson type wrestling....but teasing and playful wrestling. He has the cutest bald head. He loves country music (blah!) He loves to just sit on the couch and talk everyday. Yep he likes to just talk. He loves to go window shopping. He is a big Utah fan and wears a horrible white shirt every game. He will add ketchup to just about anything. He appreciates my cooking but still can't taste the difference between a yukon gold potato, a russet potato or a red potato. He runs a very successful business. He doesn't like his feet touched. When he was 14, he was the Florida BMX Champion. He is a southern gentlemen and would do anything for me. ANYTHING! He once went to the store at 3 am because I was sick and needed some medicine. I also remember him rocking the girls through out the night when they were babies so that I could sleep. I love you Scott!

This picture was taken just 3 weeks before Grandma Margie passed away in October. I found the photo in our old camera. I forgot that we had bought a new camera around the same time.
Margie was just 63 years old. However, you can see that her body was old and failing.

So the following pictures were when we were in So. Cal this week. We couldn't take phones, cameras, purses or bags into American Idol. These pictures were taken before and after we went to the taping.

Fun!

This week has been an exciting week! We went to American Idol on Tuesday. Elyssa, Jeff, Teisa(friend from work), Kelly, Kacey, Scott and I flew down Tuesday morning and flew home the same night. WOW! I got an email Monday afternoon asking if I wanted tickets for the following day. I was able to respond this time and get 8 tickets. It was a really rushed day but so much fun! The only pictures I took were at breakfast. Before you go into the show they confiscate your phones. Anyways....we had a fun time. I had so much fun that I decided to pick up strep throat somewhere along the way. If you have ever had this horrible sickness....you know its the worst! Body aches....massive throat irritation and headaches! Im sicky! However it was soooooo nice to be out of the snow and enjoy sunny California just for one day. So Cal never disappoints!
