The highlight of Scott's weekend was going to the Chargers Dolphins game on Sunday. I stayed home so Scott could have a boys weekend. (what a nice wife) Eric Weddle gave Scott a couple of tickets for the game. Scott didnt know who to cheer for. Eric plays for the Chargers ...however Scotts favorite team is the Dolphins. I think it worked out in the end...both teams have guys that used to play for the Utes. Eric actually had his first interception resulting in a touchdown during this game. Scott sat with his family and they actually invited us down to stay at their house if WE ever go back to a game!

Louie Sakoda, Justin Taplin-Ross, Kepa Gaison, Brad Clifford, Sean Sellwood and Mike Wright!
I couldn't resist!
You see I am always taking this pic of Scott and I. Everywhere we go I say smile...and look what he does.....he sticks his tongue out!! People will stop and say..."would you like me to take your picture?" I reply as Scott shakes his head in embarassment..."no thanks." I like the pose!

And finally our pics from last weekends Seattle trip. The trip included trying to catch salmon as they swam up river in just a few inches of water. Game night with the Millers along with an auction put together by Alexandra and Madison. A late night fire by the lake. A disappointing loss to Oregon...but a great trip through Portland. ( haven't been there since 1994 when I was a missionary.) A LONG drive back from Eugene to Seattle....a 2 lane freeway with stop and go traffic is lame! We had yummO food and fun visiting with everyone...and bonus...Grandma Billie!

The auction around the fire.
Grandma Billie got a chocolate Easter bunny....lol!
The game night turned into a dance off.
You go Rick!
Nice pointed toes yaya!

here are a few swimming up stream
getting ready
Now for the pics of trying to catch Salmon. The salmon actually were in full force a couple weeks ago. We were very lucky to see a few stragglers. You can tell the depth of the river was really shallow by looking at Alexandra's boots. Kids don't need a fishing license, so they were our only chance. We really wanted to eat Fresh salmon for dinner. However look through the pics...Alexandra was okay with 1 or 2 fish swimming by...when 5-8 fish swam by she freaked out!!!!

Good Morning...BALTIMORE!
This weekend Scott went to a Baltimore Ravens game. But thats just the beginning of the story..... The tickets came with a wrist band that got him into the family lounge before during and after the game. The lounge was an area for the Ravens players family members who were at the game. So here is how it went ...prior to the game there was a breakfast spread out for everyone. Cinnamon rolls, muffins, croissants, cereal, fruit, drinks, tvs, couches, tables and a playroom for the players kids. He sat in the family section at the game right on the 30 yard line row 13. He told me all the moms and wives that he was sitting by....but there was one in particular was cool. Justin Graham #94 played in his first NFL game on Sunday. His mom and wife sat right behind Scott. She didn't know he was going to start the game. When they called his name as one of the starters...she started to cry..."that's my baby!" How sweet is that? (this is when i am sad I don't have a little boy....but i have to keep telling myself boys are stinky! Ü) During half time back down in the lounge they had lasagna, bread sticks, salad, fried chicken, nachos, chips, popcorn, bowls of candy galore....m&m's (all kinds), star bursts, mints, nuts, beer, sodas....all you can eat and drink. He had a lot of fun...but you know what he said when he got home?....."I wish you were with me!" aaaaaaahhh... i love him!

September 11th
My first trip to nyc was November 2001 just after 9/11. Going to ground zero was the first place we went after flying in. It smelled like an electrical camp fire, something was different. There was a lot of work going on. Big dump trucks moving in and out. People were walking around quietly. Each person we met shared their 9/11 story. There was an automatic bond with those that we met. There were posters, teddy bears, letters, flags and flowers left for those who died. I am so glad I had the chance to go there so soon after 9/11. I was teaching 4th grade that year, my students wrote letters to the firemen. We actually stayed next door to one station that lost 15 firemen on 9/11. I left the letters with the station. There is a reverence that comes over me as I remember that trip. I have been to NYC 4 times since then.....but it was never like that first time I went.

I Hate byu!!!.....Yes, hate is a big word!
So yesterday we went to Fanzz. Scott and the counter guy were talking about the ou byu game. This guy was a byu fan. omg.....i got in an argument with him! This was just one day after being at our neighborhood carnival and the same thing happened ....but with another byu fan. I have now decided I can no longer "discuss" football with byu fans. I was a raging lunatic!!!!!!!! lol!

Photo Update
These next pics are from the annual Miller BBQ in Mill Creek Canyon! We have grown to love this BBQ! This year it is Jeff who is a freshman in college! Next year Aaron will be home from Brazil!
A few weeks ago we headed to San Deigo for our anniversary...our plane was cancelled...so we didn't go. The worst part wasn't waiting for over an hour to get a ride home from the airport....it was that our hotel was prepaid and they would cancel it or change it to another day! booo Catamaran Resort and Spa!

Oh.....Madison Moo!
Madison: "Mom! you are always wanting me to clean my room....NOW you want me to drink milk too??!"
Me: "Yep!"
Why am I starting to question my own parenting skills? I even have a degree in child development! Clean your rooms, drink your milk, use a napkin, elbows off the table, brush AND floss your teeth, yes you have to wash your hair, stop splashing in the bathtub, no you cant have another piece of cake..... oh the list goes on. But you know, they are soooo cute!
