Warning...Im braggin~

Growing up my parent teacher conferences went like this. "Tracey needs to settle down and stop talking so much." Ü So when I became a teacher I never gave that criticism. lol~ Last night we went to the girls conferences, let me quote some of what their teachers said. "I would love to take Alexandra home with me, she is one of my favorites!" "When the 5th grade teachers talk about their favorite students Alexandra's name is always at the top of the list." "I would be so happy if I had a classroom full of Madisons! She is wonderful, helpful and above grade level in reading." Who are these kids and who the hell are their parents? Ü MOI!!! Ü

Ü

We jetted away for a Valentines weekend at the beach. It might have been the funnest weekend we have had for a while. The weather was perfect, it was in the high 70's. The sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky. I got the sunburn Ive longed for all winter long. Oh.....it was just a fabulous weekend. Thanks Sweetie~ love you like buttah! Ü

The Other Day~

Scott and I were talking in the living room. Its a daily ritual, talking in the morning while the girls are getting ready for school. Then again we find ourselves in the same spot after school. Its the talking room. Its one of our feel good spaces....ya know what I mean. We sit in the same spots, talk and chill for hours. Love it! Anyways..... the girls had gone to school and we were just talking about what awesome girls we have. We really do! They will do anything we ask, they act responsible when we are out somewhere. We generally never have to say stop doing that....well unless we are in the car. For some reason they like to argue with each other in the car. So glad road trips are few and far between for us. Thank you airline job! Ü I just wanted to say this so the next time my sweet girls come to read the blog they will see how much I love them and I'm thankful for their awesomeness! You make my job at being a mom so easy and I love it and I love you both like buttah! 2 sticks of buttah slapped togetha!

I Have a Dream......

Today is a day to reflect on how our country has changed....for the better. I can hear Dr. Kings voice in my head saying "free at last...free at last!"
~I dream of a place where there is no judgement but a compassionate understanding of others.

No Photos~

The laptop with all my photos on is having problems turning on. I really think blogging should consist of photos....so I dont feel like blogging now. Because really, reading a book without pictures is kind of boring, so is blogging!

Oh well~ here we go!

In November Scott and I got the chance to go on a trip alone. Yes without the girly girls. We spent 2 nights in Chicago, 1 day at Notre Dame and 1 day in Boston. First of all Chicago is the friendliest big city Ive ever been too. We had a fabulous time there. We met up with a college roommate of mine and also one of my childhood friends. My roommate Myndee (former SUU basketball star!) took us to Pizzanos. Their pizza is to die for! I now crave it weekly! The crust of this pie was so yummy....that I am planning my next day trip to Chicago, just to eat it again. Then she took us to Portillos for a cake shake. A vanilla shake with a whole piece of chocolate cake blended to perfection. I took 3 sips and was in heaven.

The following day we drove to South Bend, Indiana. They say if you are a football fan you have to watch a game at Notre Dame. It doesn't matter who you are cheering for, it is an experience of a life time. We weren't disappointed. Well we lost....but the staff and Notre Dame fans made up for that. In fact, one ND fan apologized for the win and told me how cute i looked in my hat and Utah jewelery. Ü how sweet is that? We were welcomed by so many people. It was a life changing experienc. I am thinking of converting to catholicism....okay not really. We drove back to Chicago that night and met with my childhood friend Margaret Meli. She took us to the John Hancock building. From the 50th something floor you have a great view of the city. We chatted and caught up with each other over the next couple of hours. She still looks the same....beautiful as ever!.

The next day we headed to Boston. We had a 9 hour layover in the airport and took advantage of that by spending the day walking the Freedom Trail. Lunch in Little Italy was .....wow!.... some of the best food I have ever eaten! No joke! We had a fantastic waitress who directed us to a local bakery. We stood in line for 1/2 before we made our way inside. Fresh cannolis and other fabulous Italian treats awaited us. yummo! We were able to see The Old North Church, Paul Reveres house, possible mobsters (lol~no really !), Faniuel Hall~ this is where the meetings prior to the Boston tea party were held. The building is still in use today. JFK gave a speech here as well as John Kerry. We had a great time together walking around the cobblestone streets, too bad scott had a hurt ankle. Thanks sweetie for enduring all that pain just for me. Ü

We made it home the next day after a stop in Las Vegas. Minus the Utes losing, we had a fabulous trip, maybe even our favorite trip of the year. Ü

Volleyball Girl

Alexandra started playing volleyball this fall. She is having a lot of fun and has made some new friends. She had never played before and has improved more than I thought she could in just 1 month of playing. Go Spikers!

Fall Walking

Guardsmans Pass above and below are pics of our walk at Silverlake. We have loved the walk at silverlake since Alexandra was a baby. We would push her around the lake in a stroller, now both girls run ahead leaving Scott and I behind.

The fall colors were amazing and almost unbelieveable. However there was no photoshopping done to any of these photos. Just a great photograhper! holla!

Corn Maze Fun

We went with some friends to a corn maze last night. It was so much fun! We didn't get lost and actually made it to each of the 10 check points and almost in the right order too! The kiddies had a lot of fun, but I think Scott had the most fun running ahead and jumping out of the corn to scare us. Happy Fall!

This picture is the best! lol! thanks Yaya for smiling!

Daddy Daughter Weekend

Scott and Alexandra went to see the Utes play in New Mexico. They had a fun time and Alexandra even came home wanting to go to another Ütah game. However she changed her mind when the next game came around :( One day I hope she decides to like football.
