A few of our favorite things to do in Washington and Oregon

Crabbing!!! yum! yum! YUM!

yaya....looks like she is helping but she was too afraid to grab a crab out of the water

We dont visit the aquarium anymore .... We like to go to the ocean just a mile from the house and search for sea life. A big starfish

These are eel eggs... soooo cool

A lot of creatures to find and look at.

a skirt ....and boots. HOT!Ü

kayaking on the lake in the morning ....sometimes even before breakfast

Maddie and her build a bear

swing in the front yard

Give the chickens a bath... a dirt bath okay really they do it on their own. Its so funny to watch, each chicken has its favorite place to "bathe".

take pictures with the dogs

even the dogs make funny faces

We walked to the top of the Astoria Column in Oregon. Scott was afraid and stayed down below.

But by the time we got to the top..... Maddie wished she would have stayed with Daddy too.

It was beautiful as the sun was setting once we reached the top. I climbed these same stairs almost 20 years ago when I was a missionary in Oregon.

In the background you see the Columbia river just before it empties into the Pacific Ocean and across the river is Washington

Miss Elyssa is a Sr this year. I heard a rumor that she is #1 in her class. whoo rah!

you can see a glimpse of the parking lot. yikes!

Cannon Beach is beautiful and yes its even better in person.

holla! Aren't we cute?!

My Yaya is growing up. 11.....boo!

We can't wait to go back ....It is our favorite place to vacation, visit and be!

"Mom update the blog!"

Alexandra is 11 years old and now in 6th grade, her last year of elementary school. STOP GROWING!! Ü I was lucky to get these pictures of her before school. Isnt she beautiful! Also notice her hair is short now. She cut 11 inches off her hair to donate to a charity.

Miss Madison is 8 years old and now in third grade. She loves her teacher and school.

Happy Fathers Day!

Here are some reasons we think we have the best Dad in the world!

You wear red even though blue is your favorite color. (shhhhh dont tell anyone!)
You almost won the chicken nugget contest.... well not really, you came in last place. But we are sure if it was McDonald's nuggets you would have won! haha! maybe! Ü

You come and eat lunch with us at our school.

You are very handsome!

You are always silly and make us laugh!

You always play games with us.

And teach us how to have fun

Disneyland is your favorite place too!

You go on all the fun rides.....well except Soarin' California...haha!

You can fit 17 marshmellows in your mouth at once!

You are so gentle, you can feed deer out of the palm of your hand

Happy Fathers day Daddy!

Love, ♥Alexandra and Madison♥

Thanks for being the Father of my children.... I love you like buttah!

LOL

Mr. Holsey and his famous lameO face....dork! Ü

And heres the face I love! Ü

So here are a few conversations that Mr. Holsey and I have had in the past 24 hours.

setting: Monday afternoon in the living room watching Oprah. Mr. Holsey walks in as I am half way through the show.
Mr. Holsey: "Why are you watching Oprah without me? You know I want to watch this!"
Me: "Oh sorry sweetie....It is recorded"

Setting: In my car driving home from Costco today. I am jamming to Marky Mark singing Good Vibrations (very loudly with the sunroof open and the windows down) Ü
Mr. Holsey: "Um honey can you turn it down this is a little embarrassing."
me: thinking......Really Marky Mark is embarrassing but watching Oprah isnt? "I love you Sweetie!"
