The game tonight was fun. However GSU lost in overtime. It was fun to see the traditions of Georgia Southerns traditions. They have an eagle fly into the stadium. However nothing compares to going to a game at Rice Eccles Stadium. I can't wait to get home to see the Utes play! Go Utah!

Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa
Yesterday we celebrated Grandpa Van Tassells birthday in Statesboro Georgia. We spent the afternoon in Lane and Chris's amazing backyard. Where this huge live oak tree shades a huge portion of the yard. Picture a flower garden with a white gazebo in the middle and that is where we were. Chris is an amazing gardener. One day .....I will be too. The weather was beautiful and the food was even better. It was fun visiting with family from all over the United States as well as new friends he has made while living here in Georgia.

Grandma Margie
Yesterday they found a tumor in Margie's intestines. Scott is there with his mom right now as she has been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks. Madison and Alexandra are spending time with Grandma by climbing in her hospital bed and coloring pictures together. We love you Grandma. Get well soon!

Fall is Here!
Today is the first day of fall. I can't decide if i love spring or fall more. Fall has cool nights and warm days. Fall also has football. Football!! Yesterday I spent the day watching games uninterrupted. It was a perfect almost fall day. Then to wake up to an overcast day was icing on the top. I love days like this. Fuzzy slippers, hot chocolate and the newspaper.
Scott and the girls are in Florida visiting with Grandma before I arrive this weekend for Grandpa Greats 90th birthday. Today they are swimming in Grandmas pool and enjoying the humidity. I miss them. Love ya'll!

GO UTES!!!

First home game tomorrow!! Enjoy and sing along...Utah Man
I am a Utah man, sir and I live across the green. Our gang it is the jolliest that you have ever seen. Our coeds are the fairest and each one's a shining star. Our yell, you hear it ringing through the mountains near and far.
Chorus: Who am I, sir, a Utah man am I: A Utah man, sir, and will be till I die: Ki! Ki! We're up to snuff: we never bluff. We're game for any fuss. No other gang of college men dare meet us in the muss. So fill your lungs and sing it out shout it to the sky. We'll fight for dear old crimson for.....
Chorus:
And when we prom the avenue, all lined up in a row. And arm in arm and step in time as down the street we go. No matter if a freshman green, or in a senior's gown, The people all admit we are the warmest gang in town.
Chorus:
We may not live forever on this jolly good old sphere, But while we do we'll live a life of merriment and cheer. And when our college days are o'er and night is drawing nigh, With parting breath we'll sing that song:
A Utah Man am I!

Seattle for Labor Day
We came to Seattle for the weekend to see Aaron off to his mission. We spent most of our time at cheryls casa. Alexandra kayaks like a pro. She and jeff went out and she picked it up where she left off last time. Scott was amazed, he missed our trip in June and had never seen her kayak. We played bocce ball, played cards, that dice game, the wii, sat by the fire on the lake, went to pikes market, saw the space needle, ate great food and listened to Grandma Billie talk.

Money and Madison
Here is a conversation Madison had with a friend the other day.
Madison: "I have lots of money, see!" as she opens up her wallet
Friend: "yeah, i have more"
Madison thought about this and then started to pull out each dollar counting it and showing all her change to the friend.
Friend: "yeah, I have more money than that."
Madison: "I have debit cards!"
Friend: just looked at madison and said nothing

Lobster
Scott has a really nice friend who sent us live lobsters from Maine on Saturday. They were so yummy. We had a lot of fun opening the package and digging through the sea weed. The girls didn't want to touch or hold the lobster at all. After talking them into it literally all day, right before we cooked the lobsters....the girls held them.
First Day of Kindergarten
Here is Miss Madison on her first day of school. She was so excited to finally be in school. While in line she was talking to her new classmates. I could hear her say in her most authoritive voice "I know how to spell cat C A T." Then she kindof looked at them like and what can you do? It was so funny. That's Madison....watch out teachers...here she comes.
