Another Conversation with Madison

This conversation took place as we walked out of a Vons grocery store in Del Mar, CA. Madison had just taken the money out of the change dispenser after I paid with cash for a few things.

Madison: Mom I'm going to start collecting money because I want to be rich.
Me: okay
Madison: Did you know its fun to be rich?
Me: No I didn't but it sounds fun!
Madison: Yep! I am going to collect money, so if you see any mom....give it to me!

oh SNAP!

Well some of you might know that I have high blood pressure. It all started back in 2000 while I was pg with little ol'Alexandra. Not feeling so great at a dr's appt....yeah I was put on strict bed rest and medication for the remainder of the pregnancy. 3 years later, pg with Madison, the same thing minus the bed rest. Then about 3 years after that I had to start taking medicine everyday....bummer. Well about a month ago....I was told that I could stop taking the meds...but keep checking my blood pressure and if it goes up start back on the meds. booo! Today it happened....last night it was high...this morning it was high. oh im soooo disappointed!

I have picked 6 perfect sized zucchinis, 2 tomatoes and a bunch of weeds. I also killed 4 grasshoppers with my bare hands tonight. I love summer!

Almost everyday for the past 2 weeks the girls and I have been going to the local pool. We have a lot of fun in the blazing sun. We have also been disappointed because with in minutes of the pool opening all the chairs and shade are GONE! So yesterday I devised a plan...we stood in line for the pool to open. 15 minutes passed by and the doors open, Alexandra got her wrist band on...I yell "RUN!" and she got us the last piece of shade! Yippee!!! I was soooo excited. 3 hours later after playing in the pool and reapplying sunscreen 1/2 way through we gave up our shade and left the pool. We come home and I start to realize......we all got burned today. WHAT? Huh? Okay so we have been going to the pool for the past 2 weeks and today we get burned??? booooo!

The 4th of July

I hope everyone had a safe happy 4th of July weekend. We had an awesome weekend. BBQ's, a wedding, fireworks and a crab boil. Enjoy the pics!

Getting ready for the fireworks. Our neighbor invites the whole block over every year. They pop popcorn and have tons of food. Everyone brings fireworks....the favorite ones are always the illegal ones from Wyoming.

Last night after our crab boil we made individual homemade icecream in small bags. Can you say YUMMO???!!!

I must be having a Mommy moment....really I just don't want them to grow up. In just a couple of weeks both of my babies will be in school all day....oh what will I do? Hey Scott...how about just one more baby???? .....Yeah, yeah, yeah I already know the answer...NO!

Is there anything better than getting up before the kiddies and sitting next to a flower bed pulling weeds? (the best part is.... there aren't many weeds...just a few new sprouts of grass) Yes that is another one of my favorite summer activities....the grass is cold and its quiet outside and let me add the flower beds look great! I love summer!
