It's a Secret....

Most of you know....I love to cook. Not just dinner or breakfast...i love to cook something really good...maybe gourmet, using fresh herbs and a fantastic recipe. I really love the process of cooking (ok now I sound weird). Really the process ...yes its true. The chopping, deglazing of a pan, sauteing onions, and finally Scott saying "wow! this is really good!" However the other night I "had" to cook dinner. I wasn't looking forward to it because we had gone out to lunch and stuffed ourselves with sushi. (something I wont try to make!) Anyways.... I did the unthinkable, I opened a can...yes a can of cream of chicken soup. I am almost embarrassed to say that I mixed it with rice and that was about it. Dinner was easy that night with just a few other ingredients. Scott was like wow... that was easy...you should cook like that more often. There wasn't a bunch of pans or cutting boards to wash. I didn't taste dinner...I'm sure it wasn't very tasty....but the girls liked it. blah... But dinner was over the kitchen was clean and their tummy's were full. NOW... here is the real question this ah ha! moment for me....do i post it? Or do I keep this a secret that I actually made a quick dinner. I still won't purchase Hamburger Helper though. Ü lol!!
p.s. I think I am sounding like a food snob here....that is not my intent. Really I enjoy the occasional bowl of cereal for dinner, or a frozen pizza or even a rotisserie chicken from the deli. What I am saying is....If I cook...I like to do it right.... with fresh ingredients.

At Last......

Scott finally made it to NYC!

Scott went to New York today, and where was his second stop? Canal Street....like an experienced shopper! Im so proud of him! He calls me this morning saying do you want a new Coach bag......even crazier...I said "no." How sweet is that? Then the next call is..."you want a some new sun glasses? new bracelet?" wow! What a guy! He said that was his favorite part of the whole day...Canal Street!!!??? I think Scott maybe going on the next girls trip to NYC, we always need another person to help bargin the dealers!

Seconds Anyone?

Yep 2 posts in one day! The girls and I went to the dollar movie while Daddy is playing in Florida. (i'll get to that later) Anyways we saw Marley and Me...the girls had their minds set on it. The question for me was....do I tell them how it ends now.....or let the movie take its course? I didn't tell them. Of course everyone in the theater was crying. It wasn't until we were driving home and Madison burst out crying about Marley. She is such a sweet girl.

Scott went to the Utah game yesterday in Miami with some friends. He was so excited to finally go on a guys trip. Every one he plans some how gets cancelled at the last minute. He thought for sure this wasn't going to happen...but it did. Although the Utes lost on Friday the party was just getting started. They got in the car today and drove the 5 hours to Jacksonville to stay with Scott's brother. They had a BBQ, played Rock band and hung out on the dock trying to see dolphins. Tomorrow they are going to spend the day in NYC before flying home tomorrow night. That will be another first for Scott. Have fun boys!

American Idol??? nope...

So yesterday an email came to my inbox....but I didnt see it until today. I have been on the waiting list for American Idol since we went to the show last year. Yes...it takes that long on the waiting list. When I finally saw the email today....I chose the show I wanted to go to... but guess what??? I was too late, all the spots were filled. I am so sad! However the trip to Disneyland on Tuesday is back on....I know....dont feel too bad....still going to Disneyland on Tuesday! Ü

So I am doing Madison's hair....she is watching the BYU Texas A&M game. This is what she is saying.
"Mom whats the score?" 56-40....
"Who is byu playing? Byu is white and Utah is maroon?" no thats Texas
"Come on Texas!" (byu gets the ball) "BOOOO byu!" "come on Texas you're winning!!"
I'm not saying anything just putting cute piggy tails in her hair...trying to not laugh out loud!

Guess Who's Having A Birthday Soon?

This picture was taken the day before I had....... I was on bed rest the last 7 weeks of my pregnancy, and she was born just 2 weeks early. That was better than coming 9 weeks early as she had tried to do at 31 weeks. I look like I wasn't very sick in this picture...which is odd because I was miserable. Going to the doctor 2-3 times a week to make sure everything was ok. The appointments usually ended up with me being admitted to the hospital until my blood pressure would go down. I literally had to lay down....sitting or standing would make my blood pressure raise. I couldn't even make my own breakfast. I think Kelly made sure there was an extra crib in the NICU just in case this little girl was born early. At last on March 14 our little girl was born healthy.

Well today is Traceys special day!!! Im not sure i should say this but is she turning 37 today. You would never know it by her looks or the way she acts.
